Come get spooky in the Cultural District of Cherokee during Qualla-Ween 2026!

ᏥᎩᎵ Sgili (Ghost) Hunt at Mountainside Theatre

Explore Mountainside Theatre after dark, including backstage areas not typically open to the public. Hear from our staff member about the unexplained things people have experienced in the theatre through the years. Then, take some time to do your own ghost hunting in each hot spot. Photos and ghost-hunting apps or equipment encouraged.

October 15th - 17th, 22nd - 24th, 29th - 31st
Hours: 7pm to 10pm
Not recommended for children under 10

Spearfinger's Awakening at Oconaluftee Indian Village

Take a walk through Oconaluftee Indian Village after dark and come face to face with dark Cherokee legends such as Spearfinger and a Raven Mocker. Meet the creatures of Cherokee lore in the darkness of the mountains where they roam.
