Ten80 Racing STEM Challenge

April is science month and to celebrate Charlotte Motor Speedway is hosting the Ten80 Remote Control Car Racing STEM Challenge Nationals. We are proud to partner with Ten80 Education and NC Science Festival for this inaugural event!

Ten80 Education prides itself on inspiring a foundation of thinkers and innovators in the STEM Ecosystem. NC Science Festival is month long celebration of science in our state featuring over 400 host events statewide throughout the month of April.

The Team's Challenge:
"Students own a motorsports business and their ultimate goal is to engineer performance. This includes personal
performance, team performance and of course, race performance. Students apply core physics concepts, math modeling
and the appropriate technology to engineer solutions to problems that parallel those encountered by professional teams."

The Spectators:
Come support these teams from across the country as they compete for the winning title! Check out their pit areas and learn how you can start your own Ten80 race team. Plus, test your skills on the STEAM Team's remote control race car demo track.

Please note, this event is free-flowing and self-guided. Guests may arrive and depart anytime between event hours. This event is free but registration is required. It will take place inside the historic infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway! Parking will be located at gate 12 parking outside of the infield. Shuttles will be running to accommodate guests in and out of the event site. Specific parking and event info will be provided closer to the event date.
