What to Expect

Pisgah Trail Experience is about the community that trails create. We want to share the magic of our town, our trails and the bonds that form when people ride together with purpose during a special time of the year. During the Spring Green-Up the forest is vibrant and trails run in peak condition. Experience crisp air and tacky dirt under the forest canopy that hasn't yet closed in, offering views you won't see come summer.

Each morning begins unrushed—time for your own routine, followed by great coffee and breakfast at one of our favorite local establishments to start the day right. From there, we’ll roll out on a set of curated routes shaped to showcase the best of the Ranger District. This retreat is built for the intermediate to advanced rider who wants a deep, guided immersion into the ruggedness of the Blue Ridge. For those who thrive on navigating technical terrain and are prepared for back-to-back days in the deep woods, this is your invitation to see Pisgah at its best.

Based out of the modern cabins at Pilot Cove***, the experience is centered around adventure and ease of access. We are providing a seamless bike vacation where the navigation, logistics, and pace are handled by those who know the forest best. Every ride wraps up the same way: river time. Hanging out, telling stories, laughing, and building friendships that go beyond the trail. Afterward, we return to base camp to clean up, reset, and enjoy some downtime before dinner. Evenings are about connection—sharing another great meal at one of our favorite local establishments, reviewing plans for the next day, and gathering around the fire to socialize, decompress, and get excited for what’s ahead.

This experience is intentionally kept small. The magic of Pisgah—and group riding—can be lost when things get too big. Our goal is to preserve that magic by creating space for real connections, shared effort, and meaningful rides.
