Palmyra to Macedon Canal Cruise

Join us for a scenic afternoon cruise along the historic Erie Canal as we travel from Palmyra toward Fairport, experiencing the beautiful canal towns, waterfront scenery, and two of the historic canal locks along the way.

Guests will meet at Erie Canal Adventures in Macedon at 1:00 PM. From there, everyone will board our bus and be transported to the Erie Canal Depot Museum for a guided tour of the museum (price included in your ticket). Following the museum group will be guided to board Seneca Lake Reel Tour boat infront of the Muddy Waters Cafe. The tour will feature commentary from Linda Braun, Macedon Historian on historic Macedon on the canal.

During the approximately 4.5–5 hour trip, you'll get to experience:
-A scenic cruise along the historic Erie Canal
-Beautiful views of the canal and surrounding countryside
-Historic canal structures and waterfront communities
-Two Erie Canal locks Lock E29 and Lock E30, giving you the chance to experience the unique process of traveling through a working lock

This trip is designed to be a fun and relaxing way to experience a section of the Erie Canal that many people don't get to see from the water. Whether you're a history enthusiast, boating fan, or simply looking for a unique afternoon adventure, this cruise is a great way to spend the day on the canal!

Snacks will be provided onboard for all passengers to enjoy.

Transportation Schedule

1:00pm: Meet at Erie Canal Adventures in Macedon (1125 Marina Pkwy, Macedon, NY 14502)
1:15pm: Arrive in Palmyra, Tour Historic Erie Canal Depot
2:00pm: Board Seneca Lake Reel Tours for a Canal ride from Palmyra to Macedon

• Jacket or Sweatshirt: Be prepared for a chilly day on the water by bringing a jacket or sweatshirt.
• Water Bottles: No outside beverages are permitted, except for water bottles.
• Binoculars: Enhance your sightseeing experience with a pair of binoculars.
• Camera: Capture the beautiful moments along the Erie Canal with your camera.
• Money for the Onboard Bar: The cruises feature an onboard cash bar, so bring some money for refreshments.
