Join us aboard the Seneca Lake Reel Tour for a scenic journey through the historic Cayuga-Seneca and Erie Canals.

We’ll depart from Stivers Seneca Marina in Waterloo and travel west toward Clyde, passing through five canal locks along the way. Experience firsthand how the canal system works as the boat is raised and lowered through each lock.

Our journey will take us through:

Lock CS-4 in Waterloo
Locks CS-2 and CS-3 in Seneca Falls
Lock CS-1 at Cayuga
Lock E-25 at May’s Point
Lock E-26 in Clyde

As we travel, our crew will share stories about the history of the Erie Canal and Cayuga-Seneca Canal, including how the canals were built, how they shaped the communities along the waterways, and their importance to transportation and commerce throughout New York.

We’ll also travel through the Montezuma wetlands, one of the Finger Lakes region’s most important wildlife areas. Keep an eye out for bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, ducks, geese, shorebirds, and other waterfowl. You may also spot beaver, muskrat, deer, fox, mink, and other wildlife along the shoreline.

Schedule:

• 8:30 AM: Bus departs Clyde Lauraville Landing (Water Street, Clyde NY) to Stivers Marine, Waterloo.
• 9:00 AM: Boat departs from Stivers Marine
• 2:30 PM: Arrive at Clyde Lauraville Landing
