What to Expect

Part of the ongoing Ithaca Community Wine Course. Join sommelier Laura Winter Falk for a two-hour tasting that explores the rich history and unique styles of Madeira wine. Sample a flight of five premium Vinhos Barbeito wines while learning how specific grapes and traditional winemaking methods produce styles ranging from crisp Sercial to luscious Malvasia. The session combines sensory exploration with contextual storytelling about Madeira’s role in history and law, and concludes with sommelier-selected food pairings available from La Tourelle’s menu (paid separately).
