Cambridge LGBTQ+ Visionaries Walking Tour

Join us on our Cambridge Visionaries Walking Tour! On this tour around Cambridge, we will learn about the many ‘firsts’ in LGBTQ+ organizing and rights that happened here by visiting historic sites and exploring the stories of LGBTQ+ activists.

Along this tour, you’ll see where the first same-sex marriages in the country took place, learn about a Black feminist organizing collective, visit the location where the earliest women and queer studies courses took place, hear about advocacy for LGBTQ+ students in public schools, and much more! Sites include Cambridge City Hall, YWCA Cambridge, 186 Hampshire Street, Cambridge Public Library & Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, Old Cambridge Baptist Church, Y2Y, AIDS Action Committee, and Schlesinger Library.
