Nature Journaling- Nests & Dreys
90 minutes
What to Expect
Do you feel like you need a moment of pause and a deeper connection with nature? Join us on the first Saturday of each month for a free nature journaling workshop. The 90-minute workshop helps you start or expand your nature journaling practice, providing you with ecological context, thematic prompts and time to journal.
As we head into the winter, this month’s theme “Nests & Dreys” invites you to observe and reflect on the many shapes a home can take.
This series is intended for adults, but all are welcome. Materials are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, but we encourage you to bring your own materials and journals if you have them. This event is first come, first serve, with 20 total spots available. Advance registration encouraged but not required.
Accessibility: Please reach out to [email protected] for any accessibility needs or questions. The workshop will start indoors at the Environmental Education Center. The classroom has a low-pile carpet. Available seating options include stools and cushions on the rug. Bathrooms, with accessible stalls, are available in the building. In the education center, there is regular muted noise from trains above. Weather permitting, we will travel around 600 ft on asphalt paths to journaling locations nearby. Step stools, cushions, benches and boulders will be available for seating while outside. Outside noise ranges from subtle to loud.
