Art Under the Bridge: Basket weaving with Nature

Interested in learning a new artmaking technique while getting hands-on with natural materials? Join us for a free basket-weaving workshop where you will learn weaving techniques with plant materials pre-collected from Brooklyn Bridge Park. This workshop is intended for ages 12 and up, but all are welcome. Materials will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to material limitations, this program has a maximum capacity of 25 participants. If you can no longer attend, please let us know at your earliest convenience.

Accessibility: This workshop will take place on the Empire Fulton Ferry Lawn, with mostly flat, grass-covered ground and surrounded by paved paths. Seating will be on cushions and a limited number of short stools. The closest restrooms are in Time Out Market, about 550 ft away, or at the Pier 1 Pavilion, about 900 ft away. Please reach out to [email protected] for any accessibility needs or questions.
