Revolution in Old New York: Soldiers, Spies & Statesmen
American Revolution Walking Tour
What to Expect
This tour takes us from Bowling Green and the 1765 Stamp Act Riots all the way to NYC’s City Hall Park. I’ll be discussing and narrating the events that took place in New York leading up to the war, the fun characters in our city’s wartime saga like Isaac Sears, Cadwallader Colden, and of course everyone’s favorite musical hero, Alexander Hamilton.
This is a two-hour tour that covers spies, battles, and a walk through Manhattan’s financial power center and now trendiest residence, the FIDI (Financial District). While the tour focuses on Revolutionary and early American (as in pre-1800) historical events, there will be some fun architectural tidbits along the way.
