ORS Virtual Lunch and Learn
What to Expect
Join us for a virtual session focused on identification of species often found in Oyster Research Stations. Last year, we found over 35 unique species in our ORS cages.
We'll also talk about non-native species commonly found in New York Harbor, including where these species come from, how they impact the local ecosystem, and why it's important to track them through our Oyster Research Stations. We’ll also cover best practices for identifying and safely handling these species in the field.
This event is great for ORS community scientists looking to strengthen their field skills and support a healthier harbor!
