Come Fly with us in the Legendary WWII Advanced Pilot Trainer the North American Aviation AT-6/SNJ “Texan” for a Memorable and historic Flight Experience!

Nicknamed the “Pilot Maker”, the AT-6 was first delivered to U.S. Army Air Corps in 1939, and would see full production delivery begin in 1940 with the AT-6A. The AT-6 was the advanced trainer used to train pilots of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), and United States Navy after they had completed primary training in aircraft such as the PT-17 Stearman. The AT-6 was also use by the Royal Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force, and other allied air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II. The AT-6 would continue life after WWII as the USAF/USN primary trainer as it transition into the jet age until replaced by follow on Propeller and Jet trainers in the 1950s. The AT-6 would be flown by nations around the globe until 1995 when the South African Air Force would be the last military to retire the AT-6 from pilot training service marking nearly 56 years of continuous military service.

For your flight experience you will take to the skies for 20 minutes to see, hear, and feel just what it might have been like as a fledgling future Ace of WWII in training! The AT-6 was a challenging aircraft to master and most of those that did succeed went on to become legendary fighter, and bomber pilots of WWII! You will enjoy the roar of the legendary Pratt & Whitney 1340 Radial Engine as you take to the skies over Long Island's North or South Shore to enjoy the freedom of flight, and to take in the great views of course!
