What to Expect

All Aboard the Polar Express!

Live the magic of the classic Polar Express™ with the Adirondack Railroad.
Departing from Utica’s Union Station passengers will travel to the North Pole. All while being served hot chocolate and cookies. When you arrive at the North Pole, Santa will board the train, to give the first gift of Christmas. Santa will visit with each family, and hand each passenger a Silver Bell, just like in the book or movie!

Each first class table, and each coach section seats 4 people. We ask you to please make note that if you are not purchasing tickets in groups of 4, you may be seated with another party. This allows us to accommodate groups of all sizes.

Bring your Pajamas!: Children (and parents) are encouraged to come in pajamas. Don’t forget your camera- you’ll want to capture the memories of your time with Santa! Join the many families who come back to see us every year!

In order to ensure that you are able to travel on your desired dates, please make reservations early as this event sells out every year.

Please arrive 1 hour early in order to accommodate time for parking, picking up the tickets at the ticket booth, and visiting the gift shop.

Please be advised this trip is wheelchair accessible for standard size chairs. The maximum door opening width is 26 inches wide. Please make sure to measure your wheelchair before you make a reservation. Restrooms on the train are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are also available in all of our stations.

Cancellation Policy

Rebooking:
nEach booking is allowed one complimentary date change, subject to availability. Date changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled departure. Additional date changes are subject to a $25.00 rebooking fee. If you are unable to make your trip, a ride credit and or refund will be issued as advised on the booking screen.*

Cash Refunds:
nCancellations made 7 or more days prior to a scheduled trip will incur a 10% fee.
nCancellations made less than 7 days prior to a scheduled trip will incur a 30% fee.

Ride Credits:
nAvailable for any cancellation prior to departure. A Ride Credit will be issued for the full amount of the ticket price and are valid for 1 year from the date they are issued.
