More than an ingredient, chile represents a rich regional heritage and a way of life. In this class, you’ll explore chile’s unique culinary and historical importance, learn to identify different varieties, and discover how to handle them safely and efficiently in the kitchen. You’ll also learn about the flavorful and traditional uses of chile, including its culinary and, historically, valued wellness associations.
After the introduction, you’ll put on your apron and head into the kitchen to prepare homemade tortillas along with classic red and green chile sauces to enjoy at the end of class.
