What to Expect
The Tusa mountains are a huge swath of wild high country filled with pristine meadows and sweeping New Mexico vistas about 1hr outside of Taos, NM. This day ride takes you to an area of New Mexico seldom visited by “out-of-towners” and locals alike. Enjoy a beautiful day of riding on forest service roads and even some optional single track on the Continental Divide Trail.
With some flexibility according to ability and desires these day trips range can from 10-30 miles with the average being a beautiful 15 mile section.
Participants should be prepared for a day of 10-20 miles of high altitude mountain biking on forest services roads and some optional single track. One can expect a day of easy to moderate riding.
