What to Expect
Experience a different side of Atlantic City from the deck of New Jersey's Official Tall Ship! Departing from Historic Gardner's Basin, take in views of Atlantic City's back bays, waterfront, and iconic skyline from the water.
Step aboard the historic A.J. Meerwald, a 115-foot oyster schooner built in 1928, and experience life on the water as it was nearly a century ago.
This sail offers a hands-on experience with opportunities to help haul lines, hoist sails, and engage with our crew while learning about New Jersey's maritime history and local waterways.
Whether you choose to participate or simply relax, enjoy the fresh air, scenic views, and the unique experience of sailing aboard one of the last oyster schooners of its kind.
We are proud to offer this sailing experience in collaboration with the Atlantic City Aquarium.

Restrictions
Accessibility:
Due to changing tides, the dock leading to the vessel can sometimes be steep and challenging for guests with mobility concerns. Boarding requires ascending approximately 2–4 steps.
Once onboard, guests may be seated as needed, and crew may be able to assist with certain accommodations, including lifting wheelchairs in some cases.
Please note:
• Onboard restrooms are not ADA accessible
• Shoreside facilities vary by port

• Not recommended for children under 5
• Children ages 5–17 must be accompanied by an adult
• No pets or comfort animals (service animals only)
• Strollers are not permitted onboard

Cancellation Policy
There are no refunds available if you do not show up for a scheduled sail. We sail rain or shine, but if the Captain decides the conditions are dangerous, they will cancel the sail.
