1 Hour Jaunt - Bartlett
What to Expect
This tour is a great introduction to snowmobiling and has the potential to take you to the top of Bear Notch Road featuring panoramic views of Mount Washington, Presidential Range and Mt Chocorua.
Our main headquarters in Bartlett, NH offers guided snowmobile tours and self-guided snowmobile rentals in the White Mountain National Forest.
The Bear Notch Road Trail System stands as one of the most unique winter destinations in the White Mountains and all of New England. Its story is one of seasonal transformation: a well-traveled scenic byway for vehicles during the spring, summer, and fall, which, with the first significant snowfall, closes its gates to cars and becomes an exclusive, pristine wilderness accessible by snowmobile.
This network offers 50-miles of trails that are interconnected and almost impossible to get lost. The terrain itself is a spectacular showcase of New Hampshire’s natural beauty. Snowmobilers can access Bear Notch Road, climbing to any of the designated scenic overlooks for breathtaking, panoramic views of Mount Washington and the entire Presidential Range. The journey continues onto Meadow Brook Trail, where riders can explore serene locations around the experimental forest like Swan’s Junction, Birch Hill, Swift River, Sawyer River, and North Fork, each offering a unique glimpse of the snow-covered landscape.
A testament to its reliable snow conditions and high elevation, the Bear Notch Network traditionally boasts the longest snowmobile season in New England, ensuring a reliable and extended window for winter fun. This trail system is more than just a path through the woods; it offers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the heart of the White Mountains in a truly exceptional way.
