What to Expect
Our rental clients can expect to pick up gear, transport it to the location of their choice and to prepare it before paddling to ensure the safety and proper use of gear. They will need to ensure that if they are tying it into a truck or onto a rack that they are responsible and liable for any damages that may occur if this step is not properly checked for safety.
Our touring clients can expect that the gear will be ready to go and safety checks done.
You are responsible for getting yourself back to shore by paddling even if the wind is high or current is hard. Please evaluate your group for any inabilities that they may have before you get out on the water with them and or with us.
Includes
We include the board, paddle, leash, pump (if needed) life jacket and instructions on where to go and how to find the best places in the park for the current weather conditions.
Restrictions
No Red Flag Day Paddling and No Alcohol on our gear.
We do not recommend paddling in high wind conditions such as red flag days or unstable days with thunderstorms and microburst possibilities. Lake Mead is very large and can be very dangerous in these conditions.
It is our recommendation to always wear a leash and it is a law that you must wear a life jacket. Leashes save lives on SUP and Kayak when conditions warrant them.
No Alcohol should be consumed while paddling as this can effect you very fast in high temperatures and your judgment may put you in a dangerous situation on Lake Mead or the Colorado River. Stay Hydrated and alert as boats can travel very fast and over take you quickly so your awareness is critical when on large bodies of water such as ours.
