Starting on the Trail of the Cedars, learn how towering Western red cedars and ancient rock interact with water and soil, then follow Avalanche Creek past glacial boulders and avalanche blowdowns. The trail finishes at the stunning cirque of Avalanche Lake, fed by Sperry Glacier, where high‑alpine waters and landscape processes are visible and tangible.
