What to Expect

This Ultimate Juneteenth fund raising activity for Major Taylor Cycling Club of Kansas City is a very revealing bike tour featuring Troost Ave- the street chosen by the Kansas City School District to maintain segregated schools after Brown vs. Board of Education. This tour is full of wow moments and what you should have learned in throughout school.
The Civil War started and ended right here in the middle of America and we had as much underground railroad activity per capita as any other place in the country.
Some of the sights featured on this 19 mile bike tour will be Forest Hills Cemetery, The Wornall House Museum, Bent Ward Mansion, Shawnee Indian Mission and Kelly's Bar and Grill, the Harris Kearney House and the site of the Battle of the Big Blue
