Itinerary

  • TBD– Visiting our Northern Neighbor!

Meet Dea and Declan at the Saint Louis Airport for our direct morning Southwest flight to Detroit. When we arrive, we meet our Motorcoach and head out to visit the Edsel Ford Home. The son of Henry Ford, Edsel took over the company from his father and continued growing the company – the car that shared his name was created after his tenure. He and his wife Eleanor lived in this lakefront mansion until their deaths, at which point their wish was for it to be used for “the benefit of the public. We tour the home and some of the gardens on this 87-acre estate, learning about the unique architecture and technological features that made this a home of the future when it was built. During the garden tour, you will see the “playhouse” that was built for his daughter and featured running water and working electricity. After lunch on our own, we head across the border to Windsor, Canada. We stay at Caesar’s in Windsor, where everyone will receive a $15 dinner voucher and $10 in free slot play. But don’t stay up too late – we have a fun filled day ahead of us tomorrow! (D)

  • TBD – Rum Runners and the Fall

After breakfast on your own, we depart the hotel and head out on a Rum Runners Tour. Learn about the illegal shipping of alcohol between the US and Canada during prohibition, experience a temperance movement speech (yes, Canada had their own Prohibition law), and visit a speak-easy where we enjoy a great meal! We then continue our way eastward to Niagara Falls, Ontario enjoying dinner along the way. Our hotel is the Hilton Fallsview, right along the falls, where we will spend the next 3 nights. (L, D)

  • TBD – Niagara-on-the-Lake and Hornblower Falls Cruise

After breakfast, we escape the crowds of the falls and head to the idyllic village of Niagara-On-The-Lake in the morning, stopping at a winery along the way. This winery specializes in Ice Wine, a special wine where the grapes are picked as the first frost covers them, with a sweet dessert wine as a result. We arrive for lunch at the beautiful and historic Prince of Wales Hotel, decorated in Victorian style. When we return to the falls later this afternoon, we cruise aboard the Hornblower for a close up look at the mighty Niagara Falls, the largest waterfall in North American in terms of volume. After the cruise, we enjoy dinner as a group at a local favorite. (B, L, D)

  • TBD – A Little Trip to Toronto!

After breakfast, we take a trip to the most international city in North America, Toronto, where we begin with a tour of Casa Loma, the Castle in the City. Built in 1911 for $3.5 million dollars, Casa Loma is a romanticized ideal of a European castle, with secret passages and towering spires. It is now the premier venue for weddings and events in the city and film crews have started using it for shoots! After our group lunch, we enjoy a City Tour with a local guide. We return to Niagara Falls, where we take in a dinner and show at Oh Canada, Eh! A humorous production that guides you through the history of Canada through comedy skits and songs, it is a grand finale for our time in Canada! We then head back to the hotel. (B,L,D)

  • TBD – Homeward Bound

After breakfast, we depart Niagara Falls, crossing back into the USA. Once we clear customs, we head to Cleveland, Ohio, where we arrive at the Music Box Supper Club for a late lunch and show at this waterfront facility. We then head to the airport for our direct late evening flight home. Thank you for traveling with us! (B)
