Pet Loss Grief Support Group

Join us for a guided, open-forum peer support group for those who have experienced, or are preparing for, the loss of a beloved pet. Parents of all types of pets are welcome, including dogs, cats, birds, snakes, horses, and more.

At Wired Whisker, we believe pets are family. Losing a pet can mean losing a beloved family member, and grief can look different for everyone. This session offers a supportive space to share, listen, and connect with others who understand the unique experience of pet loss. Whether your loss was recent, years ago, or is something you are preparing for, you are welcome here.

Session Details
The support group will begin promptly at 5:30 PM and will be led by a designated peer facilitator.

Wired Whisker will close to the public at 5:00 PM. Please enter through our ADA-accessible side door after confirming your booking.

The support group will take place in the street-facing section of the cafe, separate from and out of view of our cat lounge.

Following the approximately 45-minute support group session, guests may participate in a facilitated 15-minute visit to the cat lounge before departing. Cat lounge rules and waiver requirements apply as usual.

The cafe will be closed for food and beverage orders during the session. Complimentary tea and water will be provided by the host.

What to Bring
- ID and Booking Confirmation: Please bring a form of identification and your booking confirmation for check-in.
- Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes (if you plan on entering the cat lounge)

What Not to Bring
- Outside Food or Drinks: Outside food and beverages are not permitted in our cafe. We will serve select complimentary beverages.
- Large Bags or Backpacks: For the comfort and safety of our cats, we ask that you leave large bags or backpacks at home or store them in designated areas upon arrival.
- Pets: As much as we love all animals, for the safety and comfort of our resident cats, other pets are not allowed within the cafe or lounge.

Arrival and Entry
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can complete check-in and begin the session promptly at 5:30 PM.

Parking
- On the street, in accordance with posted parking regulations
- In our two designated parking spaces to the left of the cafe

Cancellation Notice
- We reserve the right to cancel a support group date if two or less bookings are made for that date. We will notify any affected bookings as soon as possible and issue booking refunds in this case.
