Join Paddle Bridge, Minneapolis Downtown Parks, and Kroening Nature Center this Saturday 9/26 for a pretty special evening on the Mississippi!

We’ll meet at Kroening Nature Center by 5 pm for a short paddling lesson and life vest outfitting before heading out on the river together. As we paddle to Graco Park, Mermaiden (Jayanthi Rajasa) will serenade us from the water.
Once we arrive at Graco Park, the music continues on shore with Jayanthi Rajasa, Brother Ghana, David Crittenden and Jordan Hamilton.
This special evening is also part of our celebration of 100 years of Mississippi River restoration. In 1926, the Mississippi was declared effectively dead in the Twin Cities. A century of collective action brought it back to life, and in 2026 we're celebrating that progress and the next 100 years of caring for our river.

As with all PBGC tours, the route and duration is subject to flexibility depending on weather conditions, water level & flow-rate, and group dynamics. Distance will be reflected accordingly, but averages 3-4 miles on this stretch.

Additional Info

What to bring:
- Dress for water! Wear lightweight clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting wet - hot tip, have a dry layer in your car to change into after just in case.
- Hats and sunglasses for the glare off the water
- Sunscreen/Water bottle - guides should have extra, but we encourage use of a reusable water bottle to lessen reliance on single-use plastics.
- Snacks for your guide - just kidding, but never a bad idea for yourself
- We will have a dry bag for anything small that you don't want to get wet; we take pictures with a waterproof camera, so you don't have to risk yours!
