What to Expect

Rent a comfortable cruising-style bike and enjoy the Cannon Valley Trail, a 19.7-mile paved trail that follows the Cannon River through Cannon Falls, Welch, and Red Wing, Minnesota. Built along a former Chicago Great Western Railroad line, the trail gradually descends 115 feet from Cannon Falls to Red Wing and offers beautiful views of the Cannon Valley.

Along the way, you may see overhanging cliffs, wetlands, river views, and the changing scenery of southeastern Minnesota. The trail is open year-round for biking, walking, hiking, inline skating, skateboarding, and similar wheeled activities. Your rental includes a cruising-style bike, and a helmet is available upon request at no additional cost.

Please note: Guests ages 18 and older must have a valid Wheel Pass when using the trail between April 1 and November 1. For more local activities and recommendations, visit the Cannon Falls Chamber.
