About
Wheels on Rails is an exciting new outdoor experience here in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan. Join us on a one-of-a-kind tour utilizing our custom made Rail Bikes. The tours take place on out-of-service rail lines and run through the woods of southern Traverse City.
We give an opportunity to allow individuals, couples, and families to enjoy a new pedaling experience along Traverse City on existing rails, while making long lasting memories of this unique experience.
Online or phone bookings only. On-site availabilities are scarce
Disclaimer: There is a slight incline on the return trip, therefore a little more muscle ability is needed for pedaling. Please also keep in mind smaller children may not be able to reach the pedals, but they will be able to enjoy the ride.

What to expect when you arrive and depart
We want all of our guests to have the best time when they arrive at Wheels on Rails. Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes ahead of your scheduled tour time. Each guest will check-in and sign a Waiver form. Once the tour group has gathered, and about 5 minutes before the ride begins, we will review our Safety Guidelines.
Our location is limited to accommodate our guests for each tour session. We ask that our guests that have completed their bike tour to depart with respect and consideration to the next group.
Infants will need to be secured in a front child carrier, such as Baby Bjorn, on their mom or dad’s chest.
