What to Expect

Board the train at the Clinton United Methodist Church for a magical ride to Santa’s Caboose! Upon arrival, you will disembark the train for a visit with the jolly elf to share your Christmas wishes! Every child will receive a gift from Santa and every passenger will receive complimentary hot cocoa from Santa’s elves in our gift shop!

Equipment

  • Ride behind one of our historic diesel locomotives as you traverse Lenawee County.
  • Built for the New York Central, this caboose features a distinguishing bay-window, which provided the brakeman and conductor a safe view to oversee their train. Although the interior fittings have been removed, this car still carries the nostalgia of the rails. This caboose is dedicated to long-time member of the society Ernie Jeschke.

The Southern Michigan Railroad is once again a Toys for Tots Toy Drop Site. Consider donating a new, unwrapped toy when you ride the Santa Express. We appreciate your help to make the holidays special for everyone this year!
