What to Expect
Bring learning to life with an educational field trip to the farm! 🌱🐖
Groups will explore crops and animals, observe seasonal farm activities, and enjoy hands-on learning in a fun, outdoor setting.
Field trips offer a mix of education, movement, and time outdoors.
They are designed for school and camp groups of up to 120 people.
Groups larger than 120 require advance coordination to ensure proper staffing and scheduling, and must be approved by the events manager. Please email [email protected] or call/text 781-867-4002
Your Field Trip Includes
- Educational hayride tour of the farm and fields
- Seasonal farm activity, such as planting or pick-your-own
- Reserved tented area for group use, with access to electricity
- Picnic tables and serving tables with seasonal centerpieces
- Refrigerator and freezer access in the tent
- On-site event staff for assistance as needed
Seasonal Farm Activity
Groups participate in a hands-on farm activity based on the season, such as planting or pick-your-own.
Activities vary by time of year and growing conditions. The date you select while booking will show the farm crops & activities we expect to be available for your visit.
Pricing
- No deposit required. Final pricing is based on day-of attendance and is paid at the farm at the end of the field trip.
- Students: $15 each (minimum 15 participants or $225)
- Chaperones: $8 each
Chaperones who participate in the seasonal farm activity will be charged the student price.

People Count
- Headcount is taken on the day of the visit and includes all students and chaperones.
Arrival, Timing & Hayride Schedule
- Each Field Trip is scheduled for 2 hours
- Groups may arrive 5 - 10 minutes before the scheduled start time
- Hayride with farm activity lasts approximately 45–50 minutes
- Groups may use their reserved tented area for lunch after the hayride, as time allows within the scheduled 2-hour timeslot
- Groups may bring their own lunches and non-alcoholic refreshments
- At the end of the 2-hour timeslot, groups must vacate the reserved space, but are welcome to continue visiting public areas of the farm, such as the playground
Scheduled Start Times
Field trips are scheduled to start at specific times to support staffing and hayride logistics. Available start times include:
- 9:00 AM
- 10:00 AM
- 11:30 AM
- 12:30 PM
- 2:00 PM
- 3:00 PM
- 4:30 PM
- 5:30 PM
May–October: Additional 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM start times are available
- Hayrides must depart within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled start time.
Exact availability varies by date and season and is shown during calendar selection when booking.
Weather Policy
- Events are held rain or shine, within reason.
- Event tents and hayride wagons are covered.
- In cases of severe weather, Ward’s may cancel, reschedule, or refund at our discretion.
Full cancellation details are shown during checkout and included in your confirmation email.
Cleanup & Decorations
- All people must vacate the event site at the end of the timeslot.
- Group leaders are responsible for cleanup, using provided waste receptacles.
- Confetti, paint, or hard-to-clean decorations are not permitted.
Failure to clean up or vacate on time may result in a $50 fee.
