What to Expect

The Zoo in Forest Park's annual Spooky Safari is a family-friendly Halloween event complete with a trick-or-treat trail for kids ages 0-12* with small toys and prizes, books from Link to Libraries and a bag of candy at the end of the trail. The event also includes on-site activities, crafts, animal encounters, a scavenger hunt and appearances from some special friends! The event will also feature a virtual costume contest with winners for Most Creative, Best Group and Funniest costume. The costume contest is presented by Holyoke Mall. Ticket sales end Friday, Oct. 23 at noon or when all child tickets have been sold. This is to ensure we have enough treats for all children attending.

The final time slot is at 1 p.m. and entry into The Zoo ends at 1:30. All guests must enter before 1:30. The event ends at 2:30.

Please bring a bag or bucket for the trick-or-treat trail.

Tickets are required to attend. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Parking is not included with your ticket. The City of Springfield charges $3/in-state plate and $5/out-of-state plate cash only to park. This fee is not imposed or collected by The Zoo
