n

• Rescheduling Notice: A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to reschedule any dive.

n

• Late or No Notice: Failure to provide proper notice will incur a $200 rescheduling fee per dive.

n

No Shows: If a student does not show up for a scheduled dive:

n

◦ The tuition for that dive is forfeited.
n◦ To reschedule, the student must repay the tuition for that dive.
n◦ Rescheduling will depend on availability in the next Advanced course on specified Adventure Dive- or the student may choose to pay for a private outing at $200 additional
nper dive.

n

DiVE KS Right to Cancel or Reschedule: DiVE KS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule dives due to unforeseen weather, minimum student ratios not met, or other circumstances.
nSafety is our top priority.

n

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with these policies. Please contact us as soon as possible with any rescheduling needs or questions.

n

Student Medical Statement:
nA Student Medical Statement is required to be completed and may need to be signed or reviewed by a primary care physician prior to any in-water activities. There are no exceptions. It is the student’s responsibility to review the medical statement in its entirety.

n

There will be a copy of the student medical statement on your PADI student dashboard. There is a copy of the Student Medical Statement on our website and on PADI's website. You will find the medical statement for your review on our website at: https://www.diveks.com/refund-policy-medical-waiver It is the students sole responsibility for obtaining a medical clearance if needed. If you enroll into the program and then find that you are not medically cleared for diving, our refund policy remains in effect. It is advised to thoroughly review the medical statement before enrolling into any scuba diving program.

n

Medical Statement Accuracy Policy
nAll students are required to complete the Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire truthfully and to the best of their knowledge. If it is brought to the attention of DiVE KS, or later discovered, that a student's medical statement was completed inaccurately or untruthfully, DiVE KS and its representatives reserve the right to remove the student from the program at any time. In such cases, no refunds will be issued, and additional fees may apply if the student is eligible to reschedule after providing any required forms. This policy is in place to protect the health and safety of the student, instructors, dive professionals, and
nall other participants throughout the duration of the training program.

n

Changes in Medical Status Policy
nIf a student develops, experiences, or discloses a new or previously unknown medical condition or medical episode at any time during the training program, the instructors and representatives of DiVE KS reserve the right to temporarily suspend the student's participation and progression in the program until a completed and signed Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire and/or a physician's medical clearance, if required, is provided confirming the student is medically fit to participate in scuba diving activities. This
npolicy is in place to protect the health and safety of the student, instructors, dive professionals, and all other participants throughout the duration of the training program

n

eLearning
nAll eLearning modules must be completed prior to any in-water activity. Students are to complete the corresponding chapters to the Adventure dives we will complete: Deep, Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night, and DSMB Diver. Students who have not completed the eLearning will not be permitted to schedule dives and will be responsible for rescheduling fees. You can purchase the eLearning via this link: https://www.diveks.com/advanced-open-water-scuba-course If you have purchased your eLearning already and have affiliated with another shop, please call PADI to request affiliation with DiVE KS. This can only be done within 30 days.

n

Preparedness Policy
nStudents are expected to arrive fully prepared for each session. This includes completing all assigned eLearning materials in advance, arriving on time, and bringing all required personal gear. Failure to meet these requirements will result in rescheduling of the session and associated rescheduling fees. This may also be considered a late cancellation or no-show depending on timing.

n

Training Standards & Progression Policy
nCourses are conducted in a structured small-group setting with a pace appropriate for all participants. While instructors provide time for questions, support, and skill development, students requiring significant one-on-one instruction, additional practice time, or further in-water confidence and skill development may be required to complete additional training sessions or be recommended for private lessons tailored to their learning needs.

n

Students who require a higher level of individualized instruction may be asked to pause participation and be rebooked into the next available class or private training session to ensure successful skill development and safety standards are met. Students must demonstrate all required skills and knowledge with mastery to progress in the course.
nUltimately all training progression is at the discretion of the instructor based on safety, performance, and PADI standards and mastery of skills.

n

Minimum Student Policy
nA minimum of 3 divers is required for a scheduled group class to run on Open Water Diver Programs, Advanced Open Water Diver Programs, and Discover Scuba Programs. If the minimum enrollment is not met, students will have the option to continue with the class as a private session for an additional fee or they will be scheduled into the next available group class.

n

What if DiVE KS Cancels

Rental Equipment Policy
nRental equipment is provided at no additional cost as part of the Open Water Diver program, Discover Scuba, and youth programs. This includes but is not limited to equipment such as wetsuits, and buoyancy control devices (BCDs), subject to available stock sizing.
nIf a student requires equipment outside of our stocking sizing range, they will be responsible for sourcing/ buying properly fitting items. We are happy to provide a sizing guide upon request to assist in this process.

n

All rental equipment remains the responsibility of the student while in their care. If any equipment is lost, stolen, damaged, or returned in a condition that is excessively dirty or significantly different from how it was issued, the student will be responsible for the full replacement or repair cost of the item(s) involved. If a renter urinates in a rental wetsuit, they will be responsible for the full replacement cost of the wetsuit. If you subscribe to the old saying, "There are divers who pee, and divers who lie," we encourage you to purchase your own wetsuit rather than rent one.Thank you for helping us keep our rental gear clean and comfortable for everyone!

n

Student Conduct and Participation Policy
nWe are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for all students, instructors, staff, and guests. Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally, responsibly, and respectfully at all times, both in and out of the water.
