What to Expect

Students at MIT jokingly refer to Harvard as “Crimson Community College”. Following the motto “Mind and Hands,” the level of intelligence coupled with creativity on this campus is truly astounding. From the Media Lab (inventors of Guitar Hero, Google Street View, and the Biomechatronic prosthetic leg), to the Stata Center (where MIT’s Artificial Intelligence programs are housed), science fiction seems to come to life before your very eyes. With a healthy sense of humor, MIT students are also notorious for pranks known as ‘hacks’ on campus. See where a police car mysteriously appeared on the 6th story roof, the building where a giant game of Tetris was played out, or explore the steam tunnels in the basement, passing by the Blacksmithing or Glassblowing shops.
