Waterfront Training Academy activities may include kayaking, sailing, paddleboarding, powerboating skills, canoeing, beach exploration, and more!

This is a 9-week session September 22 - November 17 To register, click on September 22 (the start date), and complete the form! This registers your child(ren) for the whole session of afterschool (Tuesdays through November 17).

About the Program:

WTA provides the opportunity for young teens to become leaders in our programs, working alongside Instructors, in a structured, participant-focused program.

This program is designed for teens ages 13-17 who have previously participated in our programs. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and respectful role model who has a passion for and some experience in activities on the water, and an affinity for sharing their knowledge with others!

Academy participants will spend their afternoons with us, learning waterfront and group management training!

This is a great opportunity to gain skills and experience for those interested in working in a waterfront role in the future! Thousands of summer programs, and sailing and community boating centers are looking to hire young instructors with sailing and/or waterfront experience. This program will give participants a head start in training and certification to fill those roles! Participants will also have the opportunity to practice teaching the skills they've learned to groups of younger participants in our other afterschool clubs.

Tuesdays, September 22 - November 17, 3:00-5:00pm

This program is free participants, and snacks are provided each day.
