What to Expect

Experience the views of the Patuxent River in a whole new light! As the sun sets on the water see beautiful golden skies and fully immerse yourself in the serenity of nature.
At sunset the temperature cools, the local wildlife are active, and the water reflects a golden hue promising stunning views and a memorable experience! The two hour paddle is set at a slow pace allowing participants time and space to take in the views, spot wildlife, embrace quiet meditation or simply float and relax.

Availability: These paddles are offered on select weekday evenings during golden hour.

Pricing: Adults (ages 16+) $45, Minors (ages 9-15) $25
15% Senior Discount (Must provide valid ID)
15% Student Discount (Must provide valid college student ID)

All guided paddles are led by an American Canoe Association Level One instructor.

Includes

A brief lesson on water and kayak safety
Paddling basics
Kayak, paddle, lifejacket (you may bring your own if you would prefer)
A two hour guided paddle, with an intermission to admire the sunset

Restrictions

Participant Eligibility Criteria
In order to participate in the paddle, all participants must be able to do the following:
* Breathe independently (i.e., not require medical devices to sustain breathing)
* Independently maintain sealed airway passages while under water
* Independently hold head upright without neck/head support
* Manage personal care independently or with assistance of a companion
* Manage personal mobility independently or with a reasonable amount of assistance
* Follow instructions and effectively communicate independently or with assistance of a companion
