Cancellation Policy

Express Yacht Charters – Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all captained day charters booked through Express Yacht Charters (“the Company”).

Payments & Deposits

  1. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date.

    2. n
  2. The remaining 50% balance is due 7 days prior to the charter date.

    3. n
  3. Bookings made within 7 days of the charter date require payment in full.

Cancellations by the Charterer

  1. n

    Cancellation More Than 14 Days Before Charter

    n• Deposit is refundable minus a 10% administrative fee, OR

    n• Deposit may be applied 100% as credit toward another available date within 12 months.

    Cancellation 7–14 Days Before Charter

    n• 50% of the full charter rate is non-refundable.

    n• If the date is rebooked by another client, your payment (minus a 10% fee) will be refunded or credited.

    Cancellation Less Than 7 Days Before Charter

• 100% of the charter fee is non-refundable.
    n
• Fuel, catering, or additional prepaid services will be refunded if not yet incurred.

No-Show Policy


n 1. Failure to arrive within 1 hour of the scheduled departure time is considered a no-show, and no refund will be issued.

Cancellations by Express Yacht Charters

If the Company must cancel for mechanical issues, safety concerns, or captain unavailability:

• You may choose a full refund, or

n • A rescheduled charter at no additional cost.

Express Yacht Charters is not responsible for incidental travel expenses incurred by the charterer.

Weather & Marine Conditions

    The captain has sole authority to decide whether conditions are unsafe to operate.

    If the Captain Cancels Due to Weather:

    n• You may reschedule to an available date within 12 months or
    n• Receive a full refund of all charter payments.

    If Conditions Are Safe, but the Charterer Chooses Not to Go:

    n• Standard cancellation terms (Section 2) apply.

Note: Overcast skies, light rain, heat, or cooler temperatures do not automatically warrant cancellation unless the captain deems conditions unsafe.

Force Majeure

  1. n

    Events beyond the control of either party (including severe storms, government restrictions, natural disasters, or other qualifying events) may require cancellation.

    In such cases, customers may choose between:

    n• Rescheduling at no additional cost, subject to availability, or

    n• A full refund of all charter payments.

Refund Processing

  1. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after cancellation approval.

Travel Insurance

    n
  1. Guests are encouraged to obtain travel insurance to cover unexpected personal circumstances that may lead to cancellation outside of force majeure or weather-related conditions.
