What to Expect

Join our naturalist guides for a peaceful paddle through the quiet backwaters of Assateague Island. This two-hour kayak tour is focused on wildlife observation and interpretation. You’ll explore salt marshes, eelgrass beds, and secluded channels as we search for wild horses, migratory birds, terrapins, blue crabs, and other local wildlife. Along the way, our guides will share stories about the island’s ecology, history, and conservation efforts through our partnership with the Maryland Coastal Bays Program.
