Two-Week E-Bike Rentals w/ DELIVERY

At Coastal Maine Outdoors, we’re proud to offer the area’s largest rental selection of electric bicycles, with a variety of options for most adult riders. All our e-bikes are inspected regularly and maintained to the highest standards by our experienced mechanics.

All bike rentals include a helmet, bike lock, and area map.

THIS BOOKING INCLUDES DELIVERY

Delivery Policies:
- We deliver rental e-bikes to the following communities (roughly a 10-mile radius around our shop in Kennebunk’s Lower Village): Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Arundel, Cape Porpoise, Biddeford Pool, Wells
- Delivery service is only for rentals of two days (48 hours) or more.
- Our e-bike delivery fee is $75 per booking (up to five items), round trip. All deliveries leave our shop at 4 p.m. If you are not there to receive your delivery, our delivery driver will leave your bikes in the driveway, front yard, or other appropriate location at your address, along with locks and helmets.
- Delivery pickup is at or after 4 p.m. Please leave your bikes, along with all helmets and locks, somewhere where our driver can find them easily.
- All special delivery requests not covered in this section must be arranged by phone. Extended driving distances, extra bikes, etc., may incur additional delivery fees.

Important*: Our current e-bike rental fleet comprises only Class 2 e-bikes. This means they have peddle-assist technology, can reach up to 20 miles-per-hour, and are equipped with throttles (the option to propel the bike without pedaling). The Bikes

• Standard Adult E-Bike. An Aventon Pace cruiser (various generations) or similar, featuring three or four pedal assist modes, step-over or step-through frames, a cushy seat, an eight-speed gear shifter, fast-stopping hydraulic brakes with e-cutoff, a bright digital display, and thumb throttle. Top speed: 20 mph. 30 to 50 miles per full charge.
• Passenger E-Bike. An Aventon Abound cargo e-bike equipped with rear seat and hand rails for up to two passengers (one larger child/adult or two small children). Maximum passenger capacity: 200 pounds. (Your passenger may be any age, but keep in mind there are no restraints. Your passenger must be able to hold onto the handrails. People with limited mobility may have difficulty swinging their legs up and over the handrails to sit down.) Top speed: 20 mph. 30 to 50 miles per full charge.
• E-Tricycle. A Mokwheel Granite e-trike, featuring millisecond hydraulic brakes, a comfortable seat with backrest, front suspension, multiple pedal assist modes, a 7-speed gear shifter, rear cargo space, and wide tires. Top speed: 20 mph. 20 to 40 miles per full charge.

Height information: We stock e-bikes in a range of sizes: small, medium, and large. All have adjustable seat heights. In general, our bikes can accommodate riders 5-feet and taller. We will fit you with the appropriate bike size on the day of your rental. We may ask for your height during checkout so that we can get a comfortable bike ready for you.

Add-on (Do not rent without a bike rental.)

• Bike trailer for up to two children: Tow-behind trailer carries up to two children, maximum 40 pounds each.

• This is a 14-day (336-hour) rental. Click here for other rental periods.
• You are expected to operate your bicycle safely and according to all the applicable state and local laws. Click here for an overview of safe riding practices and bike law in Maine. Do not ride on the sidewalk or against the direction of traffic. Stop at all red stoplights and stop signs.
• Keep in mind that most of the riding around Kennebunk and Kennebunkport is on the road, shared with cars, trucks, buses, and pedestrians. There are no coastal off-road bike paths in this area. That said, the traffic around town moves at slower speeds, some roads have shoulders to ride in, and the Kennebunks are known as bike-friendly communities. • Helmets are required with all e-bike rentals. Your brain is important to us! We will deliver the appropriate number of helmets with your e-bike delivery. Every helmet is sanitized after use.
