Self Drive AA Flat Boat Swamp Cruise - No Transportation

*The tour meets at 5145 Fleming Road, Lafitte, LA 70067. Please be there no later than 15-30 minutes prior to your tour time to allow time for check in. Note that ride-sharing services like Lyft and Uber do not service the area. Also, bus transportation is limited and by reservation only.

Upon arrival, you’ll find free parking on-site and a check-in area near the dock. Look for signs for the swamp tour or the main office building, where staff will assist you and give you a wristband with your boat number. Restrooms and a small gift shop are available on location.*

Plus you’ll observe the nesting grounds of alligators, egrets, raccoons, nutria, and many species of snakes. Some wildlife are more numerous in the swamps during the warmer months of the year.

You’ll also learn why our wetlands are disappearing, due to coastal erosion, and man’s efforts to correct the damage it has done by restoring this vital habitat.
