'Creole & Crescent' Heritage Route - Guided Pedal Bike Tour: Discover the Soul of New Orleans!
An Authentic New Orleans Experience that brings to life the Crescent City's first 150 years (1690s–1803) of history through vivid storytelling told amongst picturesque Southern sights akin to something from the storied pages penned by Mark Twain or Tennessee Williams. Glide along sultry streets, uncover the secrets of Creole culture, and visit iconic landmarks that shaped this one-of-a-kind city.
Why View New Orleans from Afar when You Can 'Feel Her Heartbeat' Firsthand?
Hop on a bike and immerse yourself in the vibrant history & culture of La Nouvelle-Orléans.
Pedal through NOLA’s oldest, most storied neighborhoods, where every street tells a tale.
This isn’t just a Bike Tour—It’s a Time Machine!
Journey back to the 1690's before the signing of the Louisiana Purchase, long before Bourbon Street, Mardi Gras, and throngs of tourists - when New Orleans was a gritty, mosquito-filled outpost where the population battled constant floods, disease, and nature’s relentless onslaught of sickness and misery.
Envision having to endure the daily existence that was lived by the earliest European & Creole inhabitants. Laboring in an unforgiving swamp of death & despair, engaged in constant war against a hostel environment that serves an unceasing, ever-present assortment of 'life or death challenges'.
The weathering of wearying toils & withering experiences go beyond the mental comprehension and survival skill-set of most 21st Century.
Once the realization is made of the harrowing existence that was lived and eventually conquered by the indomitable souls responsible for the miracle of building & sustaining a city in a swamp - it becomes obvious why three Centuries down the river of time, the relatives of those heroic trailblazers are experts at enjoying the simple things things in life while not taking the 'stresses of modern life' too seriously.
