What to Expect

Our death and mourning tour provides fascinating insights into Creole mourning customs. Gallier House will be “dressed” for mourning: covered mirrors, frozen clocks, black veils, etc.

There are steps up throughout the property & a staircase to be climbed during the tour. Unfortunately, this historic house museum does not have an elevator, lift of ramps, but our staff will do the best that they can to accommodate those with mobility impairments.
