Shola Wood Flower Wreath Workshop (2 Days)
Mon & Wed • Nov 16 & 18 • 6-8:30 PM • Dye & artfully arrange wood flowers!
What to Expect
Monday & Wednesday, November 16 & 18, 6:00 - 8:30 PM (2 DAYS)
Shola flowers are handcrafted from the soft, spongy wood of the shola plant, Aeschynomene aspera, which grows in the marshlands of West Bengal. In this two-day workshop, you'll learn how to transform these unique botanical materials into a colorful, long-lasting wreath.
During the first session (Monday), you'll explore basic dip-dyeing techniques and prepare your flowers, allowing time for them to dry between classes.
In the second session (Wednesday), you'll design and assemble a personalized wreath, arranging and attaching your dyed flowers to a grapevine base with various accents to create a decorative piece that can be enjoyed across multiple seasons.
Preregistration with prepayment is required.
