What to Expect**
This one-of-a-kind experience begins with about 20 minutes in the barn learning about llamas, including their history, care, handling, and unique uses.
Then it’s time to hit the trail!
Each participant will be paired with a llama and enjoy a guided hike through the Prairie Patch preserve including prairie, forest reserve, a creek crossing and through tree tunnels.
You'll have plenty of opportunities to get to know your llama, enjoy the scenery, and capture some great photos along the way.
Public Group Hike Rates
Ages 10+
$45 — 1 hiker + 1 llama
$15 — Add a second hiker to share the same llama
Maximum 2 hikers per llama
All participants in public group hikes must be 10 years or older. If you have children under 10, please inquire about a Private Group Hike, which is available for all ages.
Weather
We typically hike rain or shine, but the safety of our guests and llamas comes first. Hikes may be canceled due to conditions including high winds, extreme heat, lightning, ice, or snow.

Prairie Patch Farm is located south of Cedar Rapids near Shueyville, Iowa.

All participants are required to sign a waiver and wear closed-toe shoes.
