Shared Ballooning Flights

From up above, take in sweeping views of the northern Illinois countryside as the sun begins to set, with the Chicago skyline visible in the distance on clear days. It’s a truly unique bucket-list experience.

We offer sunset flights, weather permitting, from June through early November, launching approximately 1½ hours before sunset.

Please confirm your meeting time and location with us on the day of your flight. We typically meet approximately 2½ hours before sunset or 30 minutes before sunrise.

All flights are weather dependent and may be canceled if conditions are outside our safe operating limits or if there are not enough passengers scheduled for that day.

You may fly on your first scheduled date, but please be prepared for the possibility of multiple reschedules. Hot air ballooning requires very specific weather conditions to provide a safe and comfortable experience, and we will only fly when conditions are within our operating limits.

Flight time is approximately 30–60 minutes in the air. The complete experience typically lasts 3–4 hours.

Passengers who cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice will be assessed an additional rescheduling fee per ticket.

Tickets are non-refundable but fully transferable. If we cancel due to weather, you’ll receive a gift certificate code to reschedule. Optional Trip Protection is available for $40 and must be added at the time of purchase. Trip Protection cannot be added after the booking is completed.

A signed waiver is required to participate. Minimum age is 8 years old. Passengers weighing 295 lbs or more must contact us prior to booking so we can confirm accommodations. Passenger capacity may vary based on the combined weight of all passengers and flight conditions.

Price is per person. A 4% non-refundable booking fee applies to online reservations.

Light refreshments and our traditional champagne toast are provided after the flight.
