2 Hour Kayak Rental: Chicago River

Reserve online & Save $2 each!
Single and double kayak rentals on the Chicago River.

Chicago’s original kayak and paddleboard outfitter. Our kayak shops have everything you need for your urban adventure.

Enjoy a single kayak on your own, or share the experience with a partner in a double kayak!

Kayak through the city on the Chicago River! Paddle the wild mile with ducks, turtles, beaver and birds before heading into downtown through the canyons of glass and steel. Our location is conveniently located just off North Avenue.

Located on the north branch of the Chicago River, we have the largest fleet of Single & Double Kayaks in Chicago.

Explore Goose Island and the Wild Mile before making your way to the confluence of the river at Wolf Point. Head east toward Lake Shore Drive or continue paddling south toward the South Loop and Chinatown.

All rentals are by the hour. When you make your reservation, you will only book for your first hour.

Rentals are pro-rated after the first hour, by the quarter hour, so you only pay for the time you are out. If you stay out past your first hour, we will add the additional time to your booking when you return. You must check out in the office with our staff when you return, so we know you are off the water.

Experience:
- Some athletic ability is recommended, but no experience is required.
- All experience levels welcome for recreational kayaks;
- Sea Kayaks are available for those with previous kayaking experience and have completed our sea Kayaking courses or have the equivalent rescue skills.
