Paddle boarding experience is not required

Learn to paddleboard with your water-loving dog this summer! All levels are welcome and paddleboarding experience is not required. This private class is designed for you & your dog paddling buddy to learn how to get in balance together.

  • SUP with your PUP classes are 1hr and includes all paddleboard equipment for the class. All you need is a dog flotation jacket.

  • All dogs are required to wear a doggie PFD with handle to participate (Not included).

  • Dogs of all ages are welcome! All dogs must be on-leash at all times during on land instruction. Sorry, no expandable / FLEXI leashes permitted.

  • It’s important this is NOT your dog’s first time on the water or being around other dogs, or other people.

  • If your dog is not socialized, is aggressive, or is terrified of the water – please do not sign up for this course.

  • Dog PFD (life jacket) w/handle is required – if unsure which to purchase, we recommend the Ruffwear Floatcoat. Maximum weight limit for you & Fido is 285lbs.

  • No Aggressive dogs - immediate dismissal without refund will be issued. Thank you for your understanding.

Location

Class is located in North Shore Yacht Club in Highland Park or at Montrose beach.

For Highland Park, meet at the Yacht club at least 15 minutes before class. Free Parking is available at Central Park, a 15 minute walk away.

Kayak Chicago at Montrose beach is our second location. The instructor will contact you to schedule your class.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the event for a full refund.

Cancellations due to strong weather sometimes occur – and the instructor makes that call four hours before scheduled class time. In the event of a cancellation, you will be contacted by email and/or phone. If class is cancelled, reservations may be rescheduled for another day/time or refunded in full.

Classes are never cancelled for “Chance of rain” weather predictions. Lake Michigan has its own weather regardless of what is forecast in your area. Arrive ready to paddle and get wet!
