Donnelly Guided Backcountry Adventure

Ready to step off the groomed path and into real mountain riding? Choose your challenge: a 3–4 hour or 5–6 hour backcountry snowmobile tour. We follow the groomed trail to No Business route, then break away for off-trail adventures that match your skills and appetite for terrain. Expect wide-open travel. Treeless ridges, rolling hillsides, and natural features that invite you to roam. For advanced riders, we’ll hunt down prime boondocking zones and show you how to thread lines with purpose. If you’re newer to off-trail, we’ll keep it smooth and skill-focused—working on balance, throttle control, and sidehilling at a pace that builds confidence. We will take a brief break at the Hideaway cabin at the top of the mountain, to warm up by the fire and have hot cocoa and coffee.

This is a play-as-you-go ride, tuned in real time to what you and your group want. No pressure. Just progression and fun. Your guide keeps it steady and supportive, reading conditions, choosing safe, rewarding terrain, and sharing practical tips when you want them. You get the freedom of off-trail riding without the guesswork. And the views don’t quit—multiple lakes, nearby cities sparkling in the distance, even sightlines into Oregon on a clear day. It’s a perspective you earn one ridge at a time. If you’re ready to move beyond the groomed trail and feel what mountain riding is all about, this tour delivers. Come for the open country. Stay for the flow you find when it all clicks. We’ll bring the know-how and the route. You bring your curiosity and a willingness to ride. Let’s see where the day takes you.
