Whale Tails and Sunset Sails
What to Expect
🌅 What to Expect
Follow whale activity along Oʻahu’s scenic west coast on a small-group sunset safari with marine naturalists. During humpback season (December–April), you may witness breaches, tail slaps, competitive groups, or gentle moments between mothers and calves, with opportunities to encounter dolphins and seabirds along the way.
Our hydrophone brings live whale song onboard, while photo-ID matching can reveal the histories of whales you’re watching—often between surfacings. Available records may include sightings in Alaska, Russia, or Mexico, years documented, and sometimes sex or known age.
Enjoy dramatic mountain scenery and sunset aboard Hale Kai, our comfortable power catamaran, with a maximum of 10 guests on shared trips.
