What to Expect
Our most popular Ohana Surf Lesson is a private group experience designed for families and friends, delivering a safe, beginner-friendly introduction to surfing. The lesson begins with a personalized land session covering paddling, stance, ocean safety and how to pop up, then moves to the water with a 4:1 guest-to-instructor ratio for hands-on coaching. Lessons include photographer options for purchase and complimentary shuttle service to Kalama Beach Park, and start and end at the Fairmont Kea Lani Ocean Experience Center for a seamless, memorable day in the ocean.

Restrictions
Guests age 10 and under must book a private instructor or be in a private Ohana lesson with their parents. Guests must be at least 12 to join a public group lesson. Advanced surf coaching is not offered. Surfing and related activities may trigger motion or seasickness; medication may be taken prior to the lesson. Staff may refuse service for safety if guests are intoxicated.
