Choose to tour Surfing Goat Dairy, a 42-acre goat dairy on a majestic setting on Haleakala's hillside; wander acres of lush garden paths at Kula Botanical Gardens, with more than 2,000 exotic plant varieties; explore our Paniolo (cowboy) culture in the quaint and cool town of Makawao; choose from a variety of excellent local restaurants, and wander the cool north shore surf town of Paia; and finish the day at Ho'okipa Lookout, where pro windsurfers and kiters play offshore in one of the most consistently windy shore breaks on the island, and where most days our beloved Honu (turtles) crawl high onto the sand to bask in the day's last sunlight.
