What to Expect

Paddle the peaceful Anahulu River from its mouth near Haleiwa Harbor upstream into a mix of fresh and salt water framed by the Koʻolau range. The gentle current makes for an effortless outing as you glide past basking green sea turtles that often surface nearby. Lessons are taught by local North Shore Surf Girls—former pro surfers and trained lifeguards—who focus on skill, safety, and helping you fall in love with paddling and surfing in a supportive, family-style atmosphere.
