What to Expect
Operated by Island Mountain Guides, this guided canyoneering experience follows the Umauma River through dramatic Hawaiian scenery, descending multiple waterfalls and swimming pool-to-pool between rappel points.
After a briefing, outfitting, and training from their guide team, guests rappel multiple times up to 150 feet and descend the canyon using various canyoneering techniques. This experience involves 2-3 rappels, downriver swimming, and a jungle climb exit.
This tour is beginner-accessible but physically demanding and requires swimming ability. Guides may adapt the route during high-water conditions.
