Award winning performers, writers, musicians, and producers have teamed up to bring to life the story of Hiʻiaka, the favorite younger sister of the volcano goddess Pele in a tale of loyalty, betrayal, and resilience.

The legend begins when Pele falls into a deep trance-sleep and her spirit travels to Kauaʻi, where she falls in love with the handsome chief Lohiʻau. Upon waking, Pele tasks Hiʻiaka with a perilous quest: travel from the Big Island to Kauaʻi to retrieve Lohiʻau and bring him back to the volcano.

Accompanied by her magical skirt and her companion Wahineʻōmaʻo, Hiʻiaka battles fierce moʻo, evil spirits, and treacherous terrain across the Hawaiian islands, proving her immense spiritual power, wit, and courage at every turn.
